Kelly Edwards

      Innovative, Dynamic, Meticulous, Fearless. This describes the artistic and personal style of Kelly Edwards, a Raku specialist in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Kelly creates modern, three dimensional wall hangings intriguing vessels, sculpture and tile work. Her artwork is both wheel-thrown and hand-built and is often embellished with subtle carvings and copper accents.
   
      "I was always into art, even as a child,” said Edwards, “but it wasn't’t until I got my hands in clay at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock that I knew where my heart was. Clay is my calling and I answer it every day.”
   
     Kelly's work appears in many private collection including those of the University of Arkansas - Little Rock, the Arkansas Art Center, President William Jefferson Clinton and in the pages of prestigious 500 Raku
from the Lark Craft series (2011). Kelly was also a featured artist in the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, and was recently commissioned to create the individual awards for the eight recipients of the 2016 Governor's Arts Awards competition.
